Did you know that changing your meal times might help you achieve weight loss success more easily? If you have been experiencing difficulty with shedding those extra pounds and you can’t quite figure out why, it might have something to do with what time you eat breakfast and dinner. Continue reading to learn about how changing your meal times can make a big difference.
Hold Off on Eating Breakfast, but Eat Your Dinner Sooner
If you are the type of person who likes to eat breakfast right away in the morning after getting out of bed, consider changing things up by waiting about 90 minutes. You can also reap the benefits of changing your meal times by sitting down to dinner 90 minutes earlier than you normally would.
The Research into These New Meal Time Ideas
Can changing your meal times really make a difference? According to Men’s Journal, research has shown that, yes, it can help you lose weight more easily.
Researchers had a group of individuals between the ages of 29 and 57 eat just as they normally would, choosing the same foods that they typically would eat for breakfast and dinner. However, they asked the participants of the study to tweak their meal times so that they could get themselves into an intermittent fasting routine.
The study participants did this for 10 weeks, after which they stated that they felt less hungry throughout the day and that they had even been able to reduce their snacking habits as well. On top of all of that, though, they were even able to lose 2% body fat.
Changing Meal Times Is Worth a Try
There’s been quite a bit of talk about the effectiveness of intermittent fasting, so changing the times at which you eat breakfast and dinner by a mere 90 minutes each can have positive effects on your body composition and your overall health. Plus, the best part is that you might not have to change the way you eat (unless, of course, you’re eating a very unhealthy diet that should be changed to support your health).
